GWM (Great Wall Motors), the Chinese exhibitors are making its debut at Auto Expo 2020 in India with Haval range of SUVs. The company prepares a huge investment of about 1 billion dollars in India. It is the largest producer of SUVs in China and is now preparing to take over the Indian market too.
The biennial motoring show pre-witnesses the potential future product of the Indian market, The Haval. The reviews about Haval have been positively welcoming and cherishing. Now, the time is to witness the world’s cheapest electric car, GWM R1. This car is on sale in China under the Ora brand.
The top-spec model has the battery pack of 33 kWh while the base variant has 28.5 kWh. It provides the highest torque of 125Nm. Ora R1 claims that on a single charge it can cover up to 300 km distance. The major advantages it provides is its affordability and fast charging capacity. It can replenish its battery up to 80% in just 40 minutes.
GWM wishes to establish its brand name first with the launch of Haval, and would later focus on zero-emission vehicles and then would bring R1 into play. Reported from China, Ora R1 price ranges between Rs. 6.15 lakhs and Rs. 7.30 lakhs. Furthermore, it provides 6 airbags and an autonomous emergency braking system. It is equipped with a 9-inch touch screen, reverse camera, 4 audio speakers and much more. Wait patiently until launch!
