As Cinemas to Reopen from October 15, Bunch of Films Line Up to Get Released on Big Screens

Movies lovers can again rejoice as the Ministry of Home Affairs granted cinemas and multiplexes to reopen from October 15. Due to the sudden outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, movie halls across the country have been shut down since March; and after 7 months of the pandemic, the Home Affairs ministry has decided to reopen cinemas with certain rules and precautions. Due to pandemic, many big movies’ release has been extended, and now as cinemas are reopening with 50% seats, those films can finally get released on big screens.

83

Kabir Khan’s film ‘83’ is supposed to release once the cinemas reopen. In this film, Ranveer Kapoor who is playing the role of Kapil dev will be seen with Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj, Saqib Saleem. The film’s shoots have already been completed. It was set to release on 10 April 2020, but its release had been extended due to pandemic.

Sooryavanshi

Sooryavanshi is Rohit Shetty’s action film that is written by Yunus Sajawal and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar. Featuring Akshay Kumar in the opposite of Katrina kaif, this film is the fourth installment of Shetty’s police universe. Along with Akshay, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, and Jackie Shroff will also be starring in this film. This was supposed to release in March, but due to the pandemic, its release was extended.

Coolie No.1

Varun Dhawan’s Coolie No.1 is another film that is lined up to release. Its production has been completed, but the release date has not been announced yet. The film is directed by David Dhawan who is Varun’s father. This is the remake of the same name’s movie of the ’90s in which Govinda and Karisma Kapoor were starring.

Along with these, Hollywood films Tenet, Death on the Nile, and Dune are also lined up to release in Indian cinemas from October 15.
