In the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the war of words between bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and Shiv Sena chiefs is not over. The actress is arriving in Mumbai on September 9, amid an escalating war of words between the actor and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. In the midst of some protests by Shiv Sena activists, Kangana has now been provided with the security of Y-plus category by the central government.
The home ministry has decided to accord Ranaut Y-plus category security after she spoke about drug use among a section in the film industry following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The Y-plus category central cover entails deployment of about 11 armed commandos with two Personnel Security Officers (PSOs), the official said.
A verbal war has been going on between Kangana Ranaut and the Maharashtra government since the past few days. Kangana accused the Mumbai police of negligence and drugs connection in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, after which the Maharashtra government was targeted.
After a major star has been killed I spoke about drug and movie mafia racket, I don’t trust @MumbaiPolice cos they ignored SSR’s complaints, he told everyone they will kill him yet he was killed, if I feel unsafe, does that mean I hate the industry and Mumbai? #ShameOnSanjayRaut https://t.co/EyoUCgRPSL

Kangana has no right to stay in Mumbai, we will make sure she can’t enter Mumbai, we will beat her to death with stones and rods just how we lynched Palghar Sadhus. How you promoted yourself from POK to Taliban just in one day is commendable 👌 https://t.co/Cl7q8p1e3V

She is at her family home in Himachal Pradesh’s Manali. On Sunday, the actor’s father had written to the Himachal Pradesh government, requesting security for her.The Director-General of Police has been directed in this regard and she will be provided security here. We are discussing what can be done to provide security to her outside the state as she is leaving for Mumbai on September 9,” Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur told ANI, on Sunday.
The actress took to Twitter to thank Home Minister Amit Shah in her Tweet, after claiming that she has been granted Y category security ahead of returning to Mumbai. She wrote:
