The nation is celebrating the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel today (31 October) as ‘National Unity Day‘. On this occasion, Kangana wrote on Twitter that “despite being eligible, Sardar Patel sacrificed the post of ‘First Prime Minister of India‘ to please Mahatma Gandhi because Gandhi thought that Nehru spoke better English. Not only Sardar Patel, but the entire country suffered for decades. We must shamelessly snatch what is rightfully ours.”

In another tweet, Kangana wrote, “He (Sardar Patel) is the real Iron Man of India. I believe that Gandhiji wanted a weak-minded man like Nehru whom he could control and run the country by keeping him ahead. That was a good plan, but what happened after Gandhi’s death was a huge disaster.”
