Shilpa Shetty is one of the fittest actresses in Bollywood even at the age of 45. She often appears on social media with the secrets of her amazing fitness. She believes in ‘Nothing in life is achievable without discipline and dedication, not even good health’, as described in her co-authored book ‘The Great Indian Diet’. She came up recently with another video on Instagram wherein she could be seen practicing yoga.

While sharing the video, she wrote, “for me, the best time to practice yoga is early in the morning on an empty stomach⛅ Limited pollution of all kinds allow you to breathe and center your focus with ease. Focusing on yourself allows you to align your mind and body, thereby enhancing your body’s balancing abilities. So today, I practiced the Eka Padasana or the one-foot balancing pose. It works on the mind and body rather effectively. Not only does it improve balance, focus, & posture; but also strengthens the ankles & legs along with the shoulders & muscles of the back, while toning the abdomen. It is very important to begin something with a clear mind and a positive attitude. It could be a new venture, a new task or a new day. The best way for me to start my day and week is with Yoga. But, one can’t keep doing the same routine week-on-week. So today, I practiced the Prasarita Padottanasana (A,B,C,D)and its variations. These asanas work predominantly on the lower body, strengthening the spine, core, and legs; but also calms the mind… stretching the hamstring, calves, and glutes. Along with all of these benefits, it also helps improve digestion and tones the abdominal muscles.
