It has been reported that some digital media organization has claimed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the extension of the lockdown by a week. It was mentioned that to combat COVID-19 Narendra Modi has first announced the 21-days nationwide lockdown on March 24, 2020, and now he is extending the duration of the lockdown by a week. This is fake news with no proven evidences. It was titled as “Modi government could extend coronavirus lockdown by a week a migrant exodus triggers alarms.” The report also referred to a few officials stating that they were familiar with the situation and one of which had an opinion for extending lockdown by 2 months. Many such fake news and rumors are revolving these days regarding the lockdown and coronavirus.
