State Surveillance Traced 266 Suspected Contacts of Kanika Kapoor; Over 60 Samples Tested Negative for COVID-19

The Bollywood celebrity singer, Kanika Kapoor, had immensely received ignominy and had hit the headlines for hiding the fact of being infected by a coronavirus. Apart from this, she had been negligent towards this disease and had attended several parties and been in contact with hundreds. Soon after this news got revealed, the state surveillance was set up. Now, it has been reported that the state surveillance has traced and connected over 266 people who were suspected to have contact with Kanika Kapoor. More than 60 samples were taken, out of which none is positive. All the tested cases have resulted in negative for COVID-19.

Currently, Kanika is in Lucknow hospitalized in SGPGIMS (Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences). Her treatment is still going on and she has been tested positive for coronavirus third time. The Director of the institute has stated that her treatment will be continued until she is tested negative for the virus.

Additionally, to bring to your notice, Kanika has deleted the post from her Instagram account where she had recently shared a post admitting about her being tested positive for coronavirus. In her post, she had stated that “For the last 4 days, I had signs of flu and when tested it came positive for Covid-19.” She said that the persons with whom she was in contact with are being tracked down. Now, she is in isolation and also has advised everyone to be in isolation and follow the advice of the government and be safe. Further, she added that there nothing to panic about just follow the precautions and listen to experts, local, state and central government. Finally, she wishes good health for everyone.
