The e-commerce company ‘Flipkart’ as received the permission from the central and state governments to continue its services for essential goods and products. The government has provided the permission after assuring that the company must take good care of the health of its delivery staff and maintain the proper hygiene and constantly monitor the supply chain. After the announcement of 21 days lockdown by the Prime Minister, the company had stopped its all services but now after seeking government permission people can shop daily essentials from the website. Flipkart had earlier announced stopping its operations on its official website, read as “Hello Indian Colleagues! We are temporarily stopping our work. Your needs have always been our priority and our promise is that as soon as possible, we will be back to serve you.”
Additionally, Flipkart had expressed its thought about the pandemic by stating that this difficult situation had been never seen before. It has never happened before that to stay safe people had to live separately and lock themselves in their houses. We urge you to stay home and be safe; we will be soon back to serve you.
Evidently, in these harsh conditions, it is difficult for these shopping websites to continue their operations. Pioneer e-com companies like Grofers, Big Basket, Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal are still working to serve their best to the public.
We all pay our gratitude to all those who are still serving in the name of the nation and for the sake of well being of the public of the country. A big salute to everyone!
