IPL 2020: Virat Kohli Fined Rs 12 Lakh for Maintaining a Slow Over-Rate against KXIP

The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s captain Virat Kohli is at the fire after dropping catches on two occasions and getting out at just 1 run. Kohli’s two dropped catch of KL Rahul proved costly to RCB as Rahul succeeded to put on a mammoth of 135 runs and overall 206 for 3. KXIP won the match by 97 runs. RCB stumbled on just 109 runs in 17 over. RCB didn’t just go down in batting and fielding, but also, they maintained a slow over-rate against KXIP. RCB captain Virat Kohli was fined Rs. 12 Lakh as the committee found that his team broke the code of conduct relating to minimum over-rate offense.

Kohli didn’t do very well in fielding, batting, and pretty much in captaincy. He dropped the catch of KL Rahul twice – once in 17 over and again in the 18 over when he was on 89. With two dropped catches KL Rahul smashes 132 runs; leading the team to score 206 for 3.
