
Team India batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests against Australia after a tragic accident during practice match. Rahul, who was a middle-order batsman and also wicketkeeper, had not got a chance in the Test series yet, but with changing circumstances he could be proved useful to the team. This news is no less than a shock to the Indian squad before the third Test, which starts in Sydney on 7 January.

The BCCI gave this information by tweeting on Tuesday morning. In the press release, Secretary Jai Shah said that during the practice session, Rahul injured his left wrist while he was batting. The incident happened on Saturday at Melbourne Cricket Ground. It will take at least three weeks for Rahul to recover from this injury. He will soon leave for India from Australia, where he will be treated at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
The 28-year-old wicket-keeper-batsman came to Australia with a great form from the IPL. He had mixed performances in One-Day, T20 series. The third Test of the series will be played in Sydney from 7 January, while the fourth and last match will be in Brisbane from 15 January.
