
Counting of Votes for Four Phases of Panchayat Election Continues in Rajasthan
The counting of votes for four phases of the election is underway in Rajasthan. The polling has been done in four phases to elect a total of 636 Zila Parishad members and 4371 panchayat Samiti members in 21 districts. According to the state election commission’s spokesperson, the counting is going on at 21 district headquarters.

The polling was held in four phases in 21 districts of Rajasthan. Those districts are Ajmer, Banswara, Barmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Pali, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sikar, Tonk, and Udaipur.
The fate of 1778 candidates for Zila Parishad and 12663 candidates for panchayat Samiti will be decided today. The state election commission has done all arrangements for the counting. The polling was held on November 23, 27, December 1, and 5.
Polling has started, albeit on a dull note, for the first phase of panchayat elections in Rajasthan. In the first two hours of polling only 8.30 per cent voting was recorded, a state Election Commission spokesperson said.
