Himanshu Pandya, the father of Hardik Pandya, played a vital role in making Hardik and Krunal a cricketer. Despite the poor financial condition, he raised money and sent his two sons to Kiran More Cricket Academy. Hardik himself has also posted on social media many times acknowledging his father’s contribution in his becoming a cricketer.
Many cricketers and celebrities expressed grief over the sudden demise of Hardik’s father’s death and paid their respects. Former Indian cricketer and Baroda captain Irfan Pathan, remembering his first meeting, wrote, ‘I remember when I met Uncle for the first time in Moti Bagh. He was eager to see his sons play good cricket. My condolences to you and your entire family! May God give you the strength to pass through this difficult time‘
