The Serum Institute of Pune, which is manufacturing the Corona Virus Vaccine ‘Covishield’ of Oxford University, has revealed the price of the vaccine. The institute announced on Monday that the price of the vaccine will be Rs 200 per dose. The institute has also received a purchase order from the Government of India. Stating that, the government is preparing for mass vaccination in the country from January 16. Kool-Ex Cold Chain LTD is preparing to distribute the vaccine in other parts from the Serum Institute. Vehicles are ready to carry vaccines.
It is noteworthy that the Covid-19 vaccination campaign will start in India on January 16. The decision was taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a high-level meeting on Saturday after reviewing the report of the current state of the corona epidemic in the country and the preparedness of the states and union territories. The vaccine will reach most states including New Delhi by Thursday. 80 percent of the vaccines from Pune will be shipped via flights and special aircraft.
Punjab and Chhattisgarh have refused to take Covaxine supplements. These two Congress-ruled states stated that they will decide the use of Covaxine only after the results of its third phase of the trial. Explaining that, the drug regulator of India has given emergency approval to Covaxine based on the results of phase-1 and phase-2. Its phase-3 trials are still running at various locations across the country.
