The incidence in the farmers’ protest on the eve of republic day created a widespread spark all over the country. Politicians are blaming the failure of the intelligence department for the violence during the rally. According to sources, the high-level coordination meeting chaired by the Special Intelligence Director Bureau was already attended 20 days ago wherein it was informed about the intentions of the banned organization Sikh for Justice (SFj) to hoist the Khalistani flag at the Red Fort.

The meeting was attended by 12 Delhi Police, 12 IBs, senior RAW officers, SPG, and top officials of Haryana Police. The separatist organization SFJ, formed in 2007, is a US-based group demanding a separate country for Sikhs. The organization demands that Khalistan is to be made in Punjab. SFJ had announced a few days ago to raise the prize money to the US $ 2,50,000 for hoisting the Khalistani flag at the Red Fort on the occasion of Republic Day.
At the same time, on February 1, on raising the flag in Parliament House, it was announced to give up to the US $ 3,50,000. However, after the violence during the tractor march in Delhi, farmers’ organizations opposing agricultural laws have postponed their proposed march till Parliament on 1 February. Sources have claimed that in the meeting, the closure of the Red Fort from January 20 to January 27 was also discussed and clarification was sought from the Delhi Police.
