
Senior Congress leader Motilal Vora passed away on Monday at the age of 93. He celebrated his birthday yesterday. He was undergoing treatment at Fortis Escort Hospital in Delhi due to ill health. According to the report, he was admitted to the hospital two days ago. Earlier, he was also infected with Covid-19 and was being treated at that time in AIIMS, Delhi. He had recovered from Covid-19 and was discharged from the hospital.

Congress leaders have expressed grief over his death. Rahul Gandhi wrote in his tweet, “Vora ji was a true congressman and a wonderful human being. We will miss him very much. My love & condolences to his family and friends”

Motilal Vora played a long inning in politics. He was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from January 1989 to December 1989. He also held the post of a cabinet minister in the central government. In 1993, he took over as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh and served there for 3 years.
