Recently, there was an episode based on various languages of India which raised a ruckus over the statement that Hindi is the common language of Mumbai. The producer of the show Asit Modi had given the explanation and justification for that statement and also apologized to the audience if it had anyhow hurt anyone’s emotions.
The only thing we believe in spreading is love and happiness! We apologize if we have hurted any sentiments through our show. We believe in unity in diversity & respect for each and every religion and its mother tongue. Keep smiling & keep watching #TMKOC! @AsitKumarrModi @sabtv pic.twitter.com/WoIYgyNo3n

The team of Taarak Mehta had tweeted about this unwanted raised disturbance and tried to handle this situation very maturely. The tweet mentioned that “We never wanted to hurt anyone’s sentiments but if anyhow anyone’s emotions are hurt we heartily apologize for that. The only thing we believe in is spreading love and happiness!” Additionally, they mentioned that they believe in unity and diversity and respect every religion and mother tongue.
Along with this, Shailesh Lodha (Taarak Mehta in the show) has also tweeted about this situation; trying to control the chaos. He said that Mumbai, the economic capital of the beautiful state Maharashtra owns the regional and official language Marathi. What the show wanted to deliver through Champak Chacha in the episode was that Mumbai has accepted every language of the nation and has given respect to every language and so is the Hindi. But still, if anyone feels hurt with the Champak Chacha’s statement, we apologize for that whole-heartedly.
Well, this was the whole situation that turned into major propaganda. Let’s not involve ourselves in this propaganda and try not to promote ruckus and chaos.
